Nathanael graduated from preschool last week. He graduated from preschool last year too. What a disappointment it will be when he realizes you don't have a graduation party after every grade you complete! His teacher had three classes with about 12 kids each this year. I was very happy when she said the program would be short! He is so excited for kindergarten.

Sunday night when I got home from Seminary Graduation I went into each of the kids rooms. Kate said to me, "I don't want to eat breakfast in the morning."
The first thing that runs thought my head is anorexia, bulimia, the whole nine yards, she's only seven! I said, "You don't have a choice. You are going to eat breakfast. Why?"
"My tooth is loose and I don't want it to fall out."
"We can make scrambled eggs and you can eat applesauce then," I say.
"Good," she says. "Because I want my tooth to fall out at school, not at breakfast."
And that's exactly what happened. She lost her first front tooth during reading. She was thrilled that she made it happen at school. Her other front tooth is loose and if she loses that one before her permanent ones start growing I am not sure how she will eat. She's already telling us about how she can't eat this or that because of loose teeth or no teeth. On a side note, the tooth fairy had no trouble at all finding Kate last night. She almost forgot. . . again!
