Father's Day Gift

For Father's Day I got Jason a toaster. Before you think I am totally lame, here's why. He has been complaining for quite some time that our toaster is too small (two slices) and doesn't work very well, etc., etc. I hear this AT LEAST once a week, "We need a four banger!" I didn't know that 'banger' could be a synonym for toaster. I have been hesitant because, 1) a four slice toaster wouldn't fit where we have our toaster and 2) the old toaster isn't broken (I am sure he thought of throwing it against the wall more than once to solve that concern). But he wore me down and I surprised him with a four banger on Father's Day. Doesn't he look ecstatic?

PS It actually does fit where it should and that makes me really happy.

The next loose tooth which had been loose FOREVER (well, just a little less than forever) came out on Thursday. The tooth fairy visited Kate before midnight.


My watch got a new battery and is put back together- good as new.

The watermelon watch was found safe and sound (on Jason's side of the bed, under the covers).
